I really meant to be better about those check-in posts. I did! Once a week, I thought. Or once every two weeks. And then RL got crazy...
But hey -- this makes me wonder how often people would like to see check-in posts. I tend to think check-in posts are handy for keeping people motivated and working; it helps me to know that I'll be able to say "I have X words toward my goal!" at the end of the week. Thus: a poll!
(If you answered "never", you may be best off unsubscribing to the comm. You can still be a part of the challenge; you don't have to be a subscriber to participate!)
Anyway, all that taken care of, now it is February 1st. How are you guys doing with your goals?

Date: 2010-02-01 03:33 pm (UTC)As for this month, I met my goal! My goal is simply one fic a month, preferably over 1000 words. I actually wrote two fics, though one was just a double-drabble.
On My Knees I Think Clearer (SGA RPF, Jason Momoa/Joe Flanigan, 200 words)
At Your Most Beautiful (SGA, John/Rodney, ~2200 words)

Date: 2010-02-01 04:26 pm (UTC)Wait, I think "Indecent Proposals" counts towards my goal. So 1/12, but I'm not entirely happy with it as a goal-post.
Stupid school, stupid family, stupid depression, my spoons, they get eaten.
Or! I could trip and fall and write f/f sex in class. That works too.

I've signed up for a challenge.
While I haven't finished a story yet, I'm feeling really good about what I have done.
